Achievements, 2010 - 2015

Sri. Manjunath Raju served the citizens of Kadumalleswara ward no. 65 as BBMP Corporator for the term of 2010-2015 under the leadership of Dr. Ashwath Narayan MLA, Malleswaram Constituency.

Speaking to the media he described the main pioneering objectives achieved for his ward.

* More than 90% of the sanitation lines have been laid new in the ward with the population increase by 4-5 folds. Water supply in one of the oldest areas of Bangalore has been sorted out while earlier the public depended on supply from bore-wells.


* Dr. Ashwath Naryan had described in his manifesto that more prominence would be given to Public health, Education & Sports. He has backed us with his tremendous support and plan in achieving greater objectives and more in a span of 4.5 years which has not been done in the past 15 years.

- BBMP Established India's first well equipped gym by Government in my ward.
- Very first senior citizen day care centers for all above 60 years of age welcome to enjoy its benefits.
- Dobhi's life has been enriched through automatizing modern equipment for washing & ironing clothes.

Development activities in the field of Health, Education, Sports & Infrastructure development have been achieved and more vision for the society have been drafted for their benefit.

PID (Property Identification Number).

The importance of PID


* The Property Identification Number (PID) will be unique to each property in Bengaluru

* The IDs will be provided after officials validate documents such as khata, address proof and survey number

* The number is a combination of the ward number, street number and plot number

* It provides vital statistics such as owner's name and address of the property

* It will enhance tax collection by bringing all properties on revenue radar

* The project promises to provide reliable database to other agencies like Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board and police

* It will help the city administration to map its assets and put in proper management system for the same

How to find your new PID (Property Identification Number).

BBMP e-Governance PID system Awarded the best e-Governance system in place for the year 2012 & 2014.
The World e-Governments Organisation of Cities and Local Governments (WeGO) will award the Palike for its GIS based Property Identification (PID) Number system on November 12 in Spain.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Mayor D Venkatesh Murthy said more than 150 city corporations had applied for the award.

“The BBMP has won the award under e-governance category,” he said.

The mayor along with Deputy Mayor L Srinivas, present and former chairman (Taxation and Finance) Muneendra Kumar and Manjunath Raju, IT advisor to Commissioner Sheshadri, will go to Barcelona to receive the award next month.

PID for More Services

The mayor said they are planning to upgrade the present PID system.

“At present, property owners are under the net. The service will also be extended to water supply, street light, road and tree histories under GIS,” Murthy said.

B.PAC, a citizen's group comprising of achievers from various fields, that aims for better governance in Bangalore and to enhance the quality of life of every citizen. The endorsement process consisted of an exhaustive review on various parameters. The committee had multiple review meetings and deliberated for several hours on the information gathered. The key criteria encompassed a number of metrics from political experience, local /grass roots impact, engagement with social issues, commitment to good governance and ideas for change.
